Dr. Andrew Wakefield will be joining Dr. Paul Marik for a powerful and timely discussion titled: “The Forbidden Conversation: Autism, Vaccines, and the Search for Truth”
I’ll be honest—back in the 90s, I fully believed the media narrative that Dr. Wakefield was a dangerous voice spreading misinformation about childhood vaccines. Even though I’ve always been skeptical of Big Pharma, I somehow thought vaccines were different—grounded in unquestionable science, above reproach, and that our institutions would never do anything that could harm children.
But, my views have evolved. At the core of the IMA’s mission is a commitment to transparency and informed consent. People should be free to make their own health choices, but those choices must be built on open dialogue—not censorship or coercion. I agree wholeheartedly!
Dr. Wakefield, now an award-winning filmmaker, has continued to raise uncomfortable questions and fight for all of our children through the medium of film. His new movie, Protocol 7, is a corporate thriller based on real events—following a mother, an exiled doctor, and a whistleblower scientist as they take on a pharmaceutical giant over fraudulent mumps vaccine data. A link for the trailer in the comments.
Have you seen any of Wakefield’s films? What are your thoughts on his work, or how the media has portrayed him? How have your opinions evolved about vaccinations?
