Please comment on HRT use by post-menopausal women: Is it a good idea, or bad idea, and on what does that depend?

Further, what about thyroid hormone usage by people with Hashimoto’s? After using it for 25 years I don’t see any way I could manage to succeed in not using it: I’ve tried!

I prefer not to use pharmaceuticals and hate being dependent upon them, but, see above.
