Unable to read the ridiculous light grey fonts.

I for one and many others agree when I comment on this problem in other forums and websites. There is not enough contrast to see the letters without squinting, getting up close to the screen, or trying to increase font size. I have even had people reply that they have cancelled subscriptions to magazine as they use smaller and smaller (assumed to save money) since they can no longer read without pain or getting headaches. Please stop this ridiculous fad chasing. Be Brave and Misbehave and go back to larger fonts and black fonts!!!

Choice of fonts is sometimes not controllable by the website creator. Fonts are just one factor contributing to the readability of a page. A more important factor is the length of the line being viewed. It is much easier to read a short line than a long line because the eyes can follow the beginning and end locations without having to backtrack. Character weight can be helpful, line spacing, choice of font, font size, boldness these are all things that a content creator can use to enhance readability. If there are enough complaints this might be something that the web page designer might address. Personally I would like to see shorter lines in dual columns instead of long lines in a single column.

I have over 50 years experience in the printing industry so have some expertise in this matter.

@SFMedic are you saying that what we have here in our IMA forums is difficult for you to read?

The answer may be obvious, but I’m just looking to confirm that it’s this forum and how the discussions and replies appear?

Do you see the pic that I’ve added in of your note as light grey? Forgive my pedantry, but we need to fix this.

Then I can go to our dev team and make your point for you.

Thanks
