The COVID Discussion we Needed Five Years Ago

“Secretary Kennedy is bringing fundamental change and reform to our healthcare agencies, and today’s Senate hearing demonstrates the deep, entrenched reach of the status quo.”

Dr. Joseph Varon

Did you catch today’s Senate Finance Committee hearing on The President’s 2026 Health Care Agenda?

• What stood out most for you, Kennedy’s reform plans, the push-back from senators, or something else entirely?

• Which parts of the discussion made you feel hopeful, and which exposed just how dug-in the status-quo really is?

I have added the IMA full statement in the comments.

RFK Jr. Hearing: Closed Minds and Open Discussion; We’re Finally Having the COVID Discussion Needed Five Years Ago?

I would find entertainment in if someone were to edit the senate video and superimpose cycling jerseys on everyone with their sponsors (Pfizer, Moderna, etc.). Put IMAHealth.org and Mother Nature on Sec. Kennedy’s.

I watched all 3 hours of this disgusting display of disrespect for the work that Sec Kennedy has done to improve the health of our citizenry. I am encouraged that RFKJ will not be dissuaded from his mission to MAHA. The Dem Senators were totally obnoxious and spewed outright lies to support their stupid positions. As a lifelong blue dog Democrat I was shocked by how out of touch my fellow Dems have become with reality. And some of the Republican Senators weren’t much better. The star of the Senate was once again Sen Johnson who made it clear where he stands with Sec Kennedy. This hearing was mainly a listening exercise for Kennedy since few in the hearing were there to hear what he had to say. I’m not sure that the Senators understand the concept of a “hearing” anymore. They seem to enjoy hearing their own speeches but not so much so the responses to their diatribes. These “hearings” should more rightly be called “speeches.”

True, yet there’s still a lot to do: I went for the Autism cure, but all I got was a ‘Don’t Tylenol’ T-shirt !
