Dear all,

I am looking to get involved more in provincial (Albertan) politics here as we can see that AB is ripe with a want to change their health system.

I have put together the following document, which I see as pillars to eliminating chronic disease and the policy levers which actuate that goal.

  1. Establish a culture of health (Set a target to eliminate chronic disease)

  2. Restore accountability in healthcare

  3. Adopt subsidiarity (remove occupational licensing requirements)

  4. Partner with farmers and ranchers

I am moving back to AB next week, around Edmonton (Stony Plain) and I am interested to talk with anyone of similar mind who wants to make political moves.
