Smelling smoke when it’s not there ? Could it be long covid

My sister had covid in 2022. She recovered fine at home but continues to periodically smell cigarette smoke when it’s not there. She has been seen by primary care and and ENT. They did a brain MRI which was normal. She is questioning possible long covid? Anyone have experience with this and/or possibly know how to treat?

Thank you in advance for any help :folded_hands:

I have had patients report this and have also experienced it first hand (more so back in 2021-2022 when “Covid” was rampant and many were being given Covid shots in quick succession).

I have been told it could be related to migraine headache “aura” or also exposure to spike protein (viral contamination or shedding from the injected). I suspect the spike, regardless of vector, triggers inflammation in susceptible patients (even in the uninjected).

I use Xlear nasal spray prior to and after exposure to healthcare settings, or places/functions with heavily injected visitors/attendees. I also do my best to get into the fresh air as quickly and as often as I can during and afterward.

A natural diet, sunshine, and prophylactic use of IVM (see IMA doctor for appropriate recommendations for your sister) is useful in managing chronic inflammation.
