I have been taking ivermectin for 1.5 years, and it has completely changed my life. However, the dosage and frequency still worry me. I take around 0.8mg-1.0mg per kg of body weight, which is quite high. Sometimes, in extreme situations, I take even more, and I always notice positive effects. It almost feels like the more I take, the better I feel.
Recently, I have been studying potential concerns like oxidative stress and pathophysiological damage to testicular tissue. Beyond that, I haven’t found much evidence about the long-term safety of chronic use in such high doses. Almost all the research (99%) focuses on short-term use.
Are there any studies showing risks associated with high-dose, long-term ivermectin use, or is there evidence supporting its safety? Personally, I feel great on these doses, even for extended periods, with literally zero side effects. Still, I can’t help but wonder if there’s something I’m missing.
If anyone knows more or has insight into the long-term implications, I’d appreciate it. Thank you, and all the best!
I took a normal, weekly preventive dose of ivermectin for about 9 months. I found that the pressure was building up in my eyes and there was some bleeding on one retina. I was advised to stop taking ivermectin as the long term effects were not known. I don’t know if the ivermectin was causing the problem or if perhaps I was allergic to a coating on the capsule? I did stop taking the ivermectin and the pressure went back to normal.
I follow the FLCCC’s LongVax protocol, and while I generally stay on it consistently, I do incorporate cycles. This includes periods of lower dosages and occasional breaks of about a week. However, if I stop entirely for months, all my symptoms tend to return, so maintaining the protocol is essential for me.
I have been using ivermectin at varying levels since recommended to me in 2021, between 0.2mg to 1mg/kg. Struggled with long covid since initial infection in April 2020, several infections which have led to 2 hospitalisations.
I have never had side effects, am monitored by a private doctor and have regular blood tests. Tend to increase if exposed to Covid like infection or test positive. I know it makes a difference as if I reduce too quickly after infection, symptoms ramp back up. I will keep going on ivermectin reducing as necessary, but never any side effects
Yes once done and everything was perfect while this was at an bad period with high useage. Symptoms that reappear when I completly stop for a long time are brainfog, tirendess, migraines, palpitations, no appetite, heat/excersise intolerance, muscle loss, no libido, extreme dry mouth, IBS and more. And it all started with extreme pericarditis 36 hours after vaccintion which luckily never came back.
I’ve been on that dosage range too. After recalculating, I realize that most of the time, I take around 0.2-0.4 mg/kg, but occasionally, I go up to 1 mg/kg for a few days, which always has a noticeable positive effect. Have you ever experienced any issues with bloodwork, or noticed any concerns related to sperm health or testosterone levels? I’m curious, since you’re monitored by a private doctor, you might have additional insights.
