Occasional use of aspirin in healthy geriatrcs

Any thoughts out there on the OCCASIONAL use of aspirin in the healthy geriatric population. The US Preventive Task force is still recommending against it. Alternatives?

:+1: Great question. Thanks for posting. Bound to get a bunch of observations.

Numbers of good reasons to take aspirin. Got to do your own risk / benefit.

I, for one, never bought into the (to lower risk of bleeding) - don’t take aspirin
to prevent a heart attack until after your first heart attack “logic”. Colon cancer history in my family also says
take aspirin. I bite off about a 1/3 of a 325 mg bayer aspirin
and fully dissolve it in my mouth, takes but a few seconds, then drink it down with a full glass
of water - easy on the stomach. I break the remaining in half with my
fingers for 2 more daily doses or bite off a half the next day.

“The spike protein detox protocol also includes 100 mg of aspirin
per day” see post from From Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH from

Agree with you Jamesk. I was very suspicious when the CDC recommended stopping daily ASA use right in the middle of COVID. Made no sense. We never stopped in my family.
