How Long Do COVID-19 Vaccine Components Really Last in the Body?

Do you remember when mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were first rolled out, a key selling point was their transience? The modified RNA would be translated into spike protein, trigger an immune response, and then be rapidly degraded. Simple, clean, and temporary.

Individual studies have been challenging that assumption for years: spike protein in blood months after vaccination, mRNA in lymph nodes weeks later, and vaccine components in brain and heart tissue. But until now, no one had pulled all that evidence together in one place.

Until now, a new systematic review of 20 studies documents COVID-19 vaccine mRNA, spike protein, and lipid nanoparticles persisting in blood and tissues for months to years.

Of course these findings don’t just apply to COVID-19 vaccines. The same core mRNA technology is being developed for cancer treatments, rare diseases, and influenza. If the assumptions are wrong here, they need to be re-examined everywhere.

I hope there are no more coworkers being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 52 yr old male I worked with died last month and a recent retiree was on my floor for a whipple about 6 months ago. I know one who is still getting boosters. Such a disconnect mentally for some despite noticing and speculating about all the young people dying from cancer. I even said it was the covid vaccines which apparently didn’t make an impact in her decision making.

Such a difficult situation when people you know suffer from cognitive dissonance, and especially when they make a decision, that has a direct effect on their health:

Cognitive dissonance means that people reduce their discomfort by:

Dismiss or downplay new evidence

Reinterpret facts to fit their existing view

Avoid information that contradicts what they already believe

My wife is trying to sort out what is causing some difficulties with her sleep. We both have been maintaining good “hygiene” regarding the time prior to bed. I noticed in passing a while ago that having been vaccinated for Covid can cause this. She has tried a combination of supplements that are supposed to aid sleep, with questionable results. She is post-menopausal, so I suggested getting a complete check of her hormones. (Our primary care MDs are not helpful regarding hormones-I had to practically draw pictures for mine to order the right thyroid testing.) I’m trying to get her to consult with the integrative MD providing me with cancer treatments. Do I correctly interpret from this article that 4-5 years out from 2 Pfizer doses in her case is not a likely factor?
