The tremendous medical importance in breast-feeding versus formula feeding is that the baby must receive sufficient DHA and EPA (the “fish” oils) to develop good brain functioning. The formula people started adding DHA and EPA to formula products some tiome ago when this important topic was mad scientifically clear. There is nothing in the world that can substitute for these two essential fats in human development.
