My 91-year-old neighbor has the flu, and it got me wondering if Ivermectin would help. I was thinking Ivermectin, black seed oil, zinc, and quercetin. What would be a good preventative and treatment strategy?
From one of the very first people, in early 2020, to investigated the use of ivermectin by doctors, actually being Real Doctors, who were using ivermectin for treating covid. Which he then noised abroad as best he could. The Universal Antiviral Protocol from **Adam Gaertner from veryvirology here **The Universal Antiviral Protocol - by Adam Gaertner
My preference always is holistic protocols. With respiratory issues my go-to is always high dose Vit C, up vit D levels w/K2 and then use mullein along with golden seal root powder. Tinctures are just fine, easily available and easy to take. If getting sick I start with 5000 mg and then keep taking about 2000 mg every couple of hours. If using other than liposomal vit C keep upping the dose till you reach bowel tolerance and then back off slightly, about 500 mg. This is how to know how much Vit C you need. Mullein tea is a great herb for lung issues and golden seal augments the power of other herbs as well as its own anti-inflammatory effects. Vit A is also important for mucous membranes. These are all safe things to do and I have seen respiratory conditions begin to turn around within the day. Good luck
Have you read the IMA protocol? I have the flu now and I feel it moving through me fairly quickly. I’m using this protocol plus drinking plenty of herbal tea (ginger, mullein, elder flower are a few things - I did what I had on hand) and hot lemon water with honey, echinacea tincture, plenty of ice water First day yesterday, aches, headache cough, fever. Better today , hopefully continues. https://imahealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/I-CARE-RSV-and-Flu-Summary.pdf
It’s miserable. My husband has it too. May your friend get through it rapidly. Note - we doubled our ivermectin as per the protocol (24 mg - me, 36 - husband)
Best wishes. Thanks for helping your friend. When you have this you don’t feel like doing anything for yourself.
Thank you @dadzcats for sharing the protocol link for treating flu and RSV that’s the perfect place to start.
The author of the linked webpage says it is important to use 80+ mesh powdered vitamin C for best results. I have never paid attention to the mesh size for any substance, except when I was still working in my research lab stocked with chromatographic-grade aluminum oxide (“alumina”) or silica gel!
Does anyone know where to buy 80+ mesh vitamin C (ascorbic acid)?
If I should ever get symptoms of a cold (rare nowadays), I pull Vitamin C Crystals (powdered, pharmaceutical grade) off my shelf and dissolve 2 to 5 grams of it into a glass of water. (I don’t like the idea of using a sweet juice for this purpose.) It’s extremely sour, but tolerable (If Linus Pauling could pour even more than that amount in the palm of his hand and pop it into his mouth to slow down his prostate cancer, for 20 years, I could manage a dilute solution!). Once, when I did that when I had the beginnings of a chest cold and a 102 fever, it brought my fever down to almost normal in less than a half hour! Although it may not be wise to lower one’s fever (since the fever might be good for fighting a pathogen) it worked for me, since I averted the chest cold’s progression.
The described anti-viral protocol combines the vitamin C with ivermectin, a combination that the author claims is a foolproof way to quell any cold or flu. So, in the future, I will use it instead of just with the vitamin C.
