Has anyone worked with Dr. Makis, or does anyone know of anyone who has worked with Dr. Makis? I sent him a letter with a few questions and understandably received a note from his assistant. I hope and trust that the extraordinary results he is getting with IVM are actual, however before shelling out $800 for an email consultation (up to 3 months, I think) I’d like to have some actual live testamonials.
Any other sources of doctors working with IVM/cancer also much appreciated.

Check Dr. Makis’ old Substacks; his entire protocol is there. It’s not “just” IVM. Try it without putting out the cash and see how it goes. Personally, I have psychological need for chocolate, so fasting. . .isn’t high on my list. . . His protocol is common sense though, esp. the dietary changes; you might want to look at Gerson Therapy re diet & cleansing. Gerson’s been around since the early 1900’s. Good Luck!
Agree with last post on to “go with IVM on your own”. Get a copy of Dr. Paul Marik’s 2nd edition of Cancer Care. IVM has moved up on his repurposed meds list. Strongly consider other items on Dr. Marik’'s repurposed medication list. Cancer is looking like a Metabolic driven disease so I’d strongly consider lifestyle changes in that regard It is good to work with a IMA friendly provider.

I will check Dr. Makis’ old substacks and Dr. Marik’s new edition of Cancer Care. She weighs very little and has been afraid to over-do the dosage, so your suggestions of working with IMA aligned person sounds good. Thanks again for your input!

Hello, I know how scary it is to find out you have cancer and then bombarded with all the questions about your health., then all the tests you have to go through and then the treatment decisions. It’s just overwhelming.
While many of oncologists are excellent practitioners, I just wish they were more open to alternative approaches to cancer. They are not all knowing and should not be seen in that light.
Like any disease, it is treated in a true multi-disciplinary approach. Hospitals for the most part are good at that. To the exclusion of alternative therapy!
It’s sad they have such a closed mind to therapies that actually work!
Personally, I’m Stage 4 colon cancer with Mets to liver and at one point to peritoneum. I had three chemo cycles and multiple abdominal surgeries and after each one the cancer came right back. I had a Hepatic Arterial Pump (HAI) placed for a year and it cleared my liver cancer. It delivered chemo therapy directly into my liver and had NO SIDE EFFECTS!! Amazing therapy!
I had another surgery in June of 24 to remove the peritoneal mass . I came across Dr. Makis at this time.
Yes, he charges for his services. Why shouldn’t he?? He’s a clinician, and a brilliant one at that.. I made the appointment with him and have been on his protocol since July of 24.
Unfortunately, I developed a large abdominal hernia from my surgery to remove my peritoneal mass. Of particular excitement was after surgery (February 1, 2025, the surgeon came in and told me he was shocked there were no peritoneal lesions! He said he fully expected to see them!
All I can tell you is that I currently have 2 tiny lesion in my liver that’s getting ablated soon, a couple enlarged lymph nodes. Essentially, I have had no further cancer progression since July of 2024 and no chemo therapy.. While it’s stable, I obviously want it to be gone. What I LOVE about IVM is that it has been shown to kill cancer stem cells.!!
And let’s face it!!! That’s what we ultimately have to kill!! Medical practitioners RARELY talk about killing stem cells because there nothing really out there…yet!!
Bottom line , Dr. Makis is brilliant and I trust him:

There is a wealth of valuable information available from Dr. Makis and the IMA protocol developed by Dr. Marik. Patients certainly have the option to navigate this on their own if they choose. In addition, as a Family Medicine-Psychiatrist based in both the U.S. and the Cayman Islands, my colleagues and I have found that many patients feel overwhelmed by the information and prefer the guidance of a physician to help them implement the protocol safely and effectively.

I tried through X and used an email I found in a video, but I wasn’t able to verify its legitimacy. I did receive a reply from a nurse within a few hours, but some of the details—like payment and the consultation process—raised a few questions for me. It didn’t quite seem right.
I’d really appreciate any guidance you can share on how to properly connect with Dr. Makis.

I know it’s a bit un-nerving to do things over the internet for money and a stranger.
But, I bit the bullet and trusted the process.
I did eventually connect with him. As you may not know he is treating well over a thousand patients by himself. Just incredible amount of work!
Be patient with his response time and yes, he uses a couple nurses to field emails.
Let them know you would like a consultation. It’s a 30 minute call and I think he uses PayPal ($350US). Worth every penny.
It may take a bit but he will schedule your appointment. Be prepared. History, of the cancer. Therapy times and drugs. Latest CT or PET results.

am also hesitating to have a consultation with Dr Makis for RA. What has put me off is that I received a reply from a secretary and payment was for 500USD for a written consultation and from what I see the price seems to vary from person to person.
I work directly with ~ 500 cancer pts from around the world, either getting them connected with MDs such as Makis, Varon, or one of the other IMA-oriented MD’s who follow the IMA cancer care protocols.
I have ~ 150 pts who are working directly with Makis, and another 200-350 who are utilizing generalized versions of his protocols.
He’s had to raise prices. I don’t see this as an issue. In fact, his most recent pricing (that I’ve seen) - $650, is in my opinion, a bargain. by comparison, other IMA MDs who engage in telehealth start at $2400, and the patient should expect 3 times that before they’re complete. That doesn’t even cover meds.
So yes, he is not cheap. BUt the question I ask myself (and patients whom I work with) - what is an appropriate price to get actual health care, vs the psuedo ‘care’ that we are currently suffering thru in the US?
His protocol is NOT the same for every single person. And it should not be. If you think that the same protocol should fit every cancer, and that every patient should get the same thing, you don’t understand basic biology. Virtually every cancer has different components. Some are similar. Some act similarly. But they’re not the same. And (more importantly), EVERY SINGLE PATIENT has a different mitochondrial health level. So everybody needs something different.
Please stop with the caterwalling over ‘overdosing’ on ivermectin. It is media-driven fear-mongering. Ivermectin has a better safety profile than Tylenol. It has been taken by BILLIONS OF PEOPLE. In fact, 1000x’s more people (yes, over ONE THOUSAND TIMES MORE PEOPLE ) have died from Tylenol/acetaminophen than from ivermectin. ONE THOUSAND TIMES MORE PEOPLE.
EVERY DAY I work with people who are taking 100-200mg/day of ivermectin. I’ve got some patients who are dealing with stage IV lung cancer, with multiple mets, who are pushing 250mg/day. yes, that’s a lot. no they didn’t just start there. But it’s completely safe - they’re having zero side effects, and the results are amazing. We’re talking people who were on hospice, who are now back to their jobs. their cancer is almost non-existent.
