Creating a discussion thread where we can start compiling content ideas, which can spin off to their own threads to draft content and flush the ideas out further.
Fight Back Friday
Our team collects big news items of the week to inspire and motivate the FLCCC Army fighting back against this corrupted medical machine.
We start off the discussion with what has happened and let the users come up with more actions to take to continue the fight.
Live Threads
We are more aware of events going on. We should create live threads for them and sticky them to the relevant forums (or super sticky to all forums). Get a lot of eyes and activity.
AMAs (Ask Me Anything)
These take more work, as you have to schedule these “guests”, but we do have experience doing exactly that! We should try to schedule these, maybe weekly?
Utilize Stickies
When community members put up quality content, we should sticky it to promote it and give it the focus it deserves. We should try to rotate these stickies every few hours to share the love and keep the content moving. Getting your thread stickied is always a big honor moment for people, so they will try to produce quality to get it.
Caturdays
This isn’t a serious recommendation, but wanted to use as an example. This goes back to the Fark days. Communities need to have some fun as well. Can’t always be serious business. Every Saturday they would host a Caturday thread where you post hilarious and dumb cat memes. I still have a gigantic folder of them!
