I would never generalize about this without facts to back it up. I’m uncomfortable when any substance gains a “miracle drug” reputation. My individual experience is that ivermectin hasn’t had a positive impact on my Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. I started taking it about 2 years ago as a preventative for COVID, and upped my consumption of it considerably after a PET scan showed a likely cancerous growth in one lung. Is it safe to try it? I 'd say yes. It has a long history of safety, and isn’t likely to cause harm. Sadly, there isn’t an easy fix, especially in pill form (!) for autoimmune diseases. Synthroid has helped get my thyroid test numbers back within the normal range, but my antibodies are still quite elevated and I haven’t noticed a lot of positives in how I’m feeling. Supplementing with iodine, selenium, and black seed oil has helped bring the antibody numbers down some. It’s a work in progress.
